What is RSS

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. RSS is a website feed which makes it easy for website users to keep up-to-date with the most recently updated content.

Why is the BBA using it?

RSS is particularly useful for news related items and on the BBA website, RSS is mainly available in the newsroom. This allows users to easily access updated content from multiple websites through the same channel.

How do I use it

RSS xml files needs to be read through a RRS Reader (or aggregator). You simply subscribe to the feed by entering the selected web page link into your chosen RSS Reader. The feeds are then updated as the chosen website is updated. So when the BBA website updates, you will know.

On the BBA website the standard orange RSS icon will be available on page that have a feed.

In recent browsers such as Windows Internet Explorer 7 you will automatically have the RSS icon available on your browser. This helps ease of subscription and detects when a feed is available.
